In a different life, Merel would definitely have her own breakfast show on the radio. But in this life she is an illustrator.

Merel Corduwener graduated from the ArtEZ Illustration Design department in 2013. Since then she works independently from her studio in Amsterdam.
Merel loves to draw people and their oddities, patterns, houses, maps, animals, daily life, night life – and the quirky things that can happen. Her illustrations are characterized by bright colors and a light approach, using symbolism and tiny details. She draws everything by hand, using fineliners and watercolors. Currently Merel is working on her first book, which will be published by Uitgeverij Atlas Contact in 2018.
